  • Carter School Degree Celebration

    Saturday, May 21, 2022, 11am – 12pm Celebrate our Carter School Spring 2022 graduates at the Carter School’s Degree Celebration! Location: Center for the Arts, 4373 Mason Pond Dr, Fairfax, VA 22030 Keynote Speaker: George Mason University Professor Richard Rubenstein Richard E. Rubenstein is University Professor at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, George Mason University. Educated at Harvard College, Oxford University, and Harvard Law School, he has taught at the Carter School for 35 years and served as its director from 1988 to 1991. Rich is the author of ten books on the analysis and resolution of violent social conflicts, the most recent is Resolving Structural Conflicts: How Violent Systems Can Be Transformed (2017). His well-known books on religion and conflict include When Jesus Became God (2000) and Aristotle’s Children (2004), and his current works in progress include books on St. Paul and new theories of social conflict. Rich frequently writes and speaks on politics and the search for peace. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Susan Ryerson, and plays jazz piano for fun.   • College of Health and Human Services 2022 Degree Celebration

    Sunday, May 22, 2022, 10am – 12pm Join the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) for the College of Health and Human Services Degree Celebration to recognize the class of 2022!  We will have brief remarks from Dean Louis and the Department Chairs, and there will be special recognition for our doctoral graduates. During the CHHS Celebration of Graduates, all graduates will have the opportunity to cross the stage and have their names called individually. Family and friends are free to attend in-person or virtually.
